Hot on the heels of being assigned an "A-" financial strength rating by A.M Best, IGI Insurance has continued to climb the Top 100 Insurer rankings, published by Post Magazine today.
IGI made its debut in the listing last year and has climbed six places to 90th position in this year's rankings.
Keith Wardell, managing director of IGI Insurance, says: "I'm delighted that we're making our way up the ranking. In the past few years we have grown considerably, with classes such as legal expenses contributing greatly to our expansion."
"The figures published within the rankings show a marked increase in net written premium, highlighting our financial capability to retain a greater proportion of our gross premium income. Combined with our recent A.M.Best rating this further substantiates our position as a financially strong, leading specialist general insurer.
"Whilst we remain committed to our traditional classes of caravan, landlord, legal expenses, GAP and warranties, we will continue to seek opportunities for bespoke underwriting of niche schemes such as travel bonding, personal accident and excess protection," adds Mr Wardell.
