Policy Overview

The Caravan Protector insurance policy is designed for owners of touring caravans and awnings worth up to a total of £20,000 used for holidays by the Policyholder and their immediate family.

Key Policy Features

• New for Old - this policy automatically gives new for old cover if the proposer has been the only owner and the caravan is less than 5 years old
• Agreed value - this policy automatically gives agreed value cover if the proposer has not been the only owner and the caravan is less than 5 years old. If a total loss claim occurs then we will pay the same amount the proposer paid for the caravan upon providing an original receipt
• Market value - if the caravan is over 5 years old then the sum insured should be the current market value
• Emergency removal - if the Policyholder suffers an insured loss away from home, the policy will pay to both recover the caravan and redeliver after repair
• Loss of use - if the Policyholder cannot stay in the caravan as a result of loss or damage and decides to continue their holiday, the policy may cover hotel accommodation (not including food and drink) upto £75 per day for upto 14 days or hire of another caravan upto the same amount
• Public Liability cover - included upto £2 million
• Continental use - 240 days in any one period of insurance in the European Union, Norway and Switzerland
• Contents - cover includes contents normally taken when using a caravan. Caravan generators and valuables are excluded.
• Excess - standard excess is £100 for each claim unless the caravan is stolen from or damaged on a CaSSOA site
• Minimum Security Requirements - to qualify for cover a number of security measures must be provided
• Selected European caravans
• Discounts are available for CaSSOA storage, No Claims , Security Protections
