Policy Features and Benefits
The policy will cover:
- The period from the inception date until one of the following occurrences:
- When the proceedings that the underwriters have agreed to cover are concluded
- When the claim is concluded by negotiation by the appointed solicitor
- When the insured or the appointed solicitor gives the underwriters notice that the
proceedings are concluded
- When the underwriters give notice that the cover is withdrawn
- The defendant's legal costs and disbursements up to £50,000, subject to there being
a reasonable prospect of success
- The defendant's legal costs arising from judgments being made against the insured
- Disbursements properly incurred by an appointed solicitor in pursuit of the proceedings
- Premium ordered by the Court to be irrecoverable as a result of the judgement
